Love these! I'm a standard size 43 / UK 9 and it's not the easiest thing to find stylish and well-fitting shoes in my size, so I was really happy to find these and discover Essen as a brand. Chunky but lightweight, they're the perfect everyday boot and incredibly comfortable from day one. As the website says, they do come up a size large but this worked well for me as I wanted to have extra space so I can wear chunky socks with them in winter as I get cold feet. I'd say size down in this boot model if you want to wear just with tights. Essen's customer service is also a dream if you have sizing questions! Marre replied to me very quickly and in detail to any queries I had. I've been so impressed by the quality and service from Essen that I've already placed an order for more shoes! Highly recommend.

I love this boot. It looks chunky but is so light and beautifully made. It is exactly what I was looking for. I think it is great value compared to similar boots made in Italy. I would also like to comment on the service and advice. Although the website recommended sizing down, I decided to order the 40 (my standard foot size is 39.5 narrow). However, Marre from Essen got in touch and suggested that I try the 39 based on my previous orders. And she was right! I was so happy she made contact with me before the order was sent. Delivery was quick. The boots fitted perfectly.

Great quality and very comfortable - impressed

Love these so so much. The quality, fit, look are all fantastic. Except! Unfortunately they’re a bit too long on the leg for me (5’4) and they dig in when I walk :( Couldn’t wear them dresses if wanted either as it didn’t look great when they dug in! If you’re taller or have skinny legs I’d highly recommend them though.

I was looking for dark brown boots for ages but couldn't find the perfect pair until I found these. I am wearing them all the time. They are excellent quality and a reasonable price. The service from Essen is perfect.
