For Marre, the evening felt like coming home. ESSEN’s story began in London almost a decade ago — when each pair was stacked in her apartment and walked by hand to the post office. Returning to the city to celebrate this next chapter, in collaboration with Whistles, carried a quiet sense of pride and nostalgia. It was a reminder of how much has changed, and how much has stayed the same — our commitment to creating timeless styles that feel as good as they look.
Few settings could have been more fitting than The River Cafe. Guests shared dinner at one of London’s most loved restaurants, where simplicity and quality sit at the heart of everything. Handmade pasta, grilled fish and seasonal produce echoed the values that unite both brands — thoughtful, unfussy, beautifully made. As the evening unfolded, it became a quiet celebration of connection and craft — a gentle reminder that timelessness lives in how something makes you feel.
