Shipping & Handling
ESSEN offers complementary worldwide shipping on all orders over €250.
We're an Australian brand but most of our shoes are shipped from Europe. Our warehousing and distribution was deliberately chosen to be near our factories so we can produce only what we need and minimise the total distance your shoes have to travel.
Once full payment is received and your order is processed, we aim to dispatch within two business days. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

• Standard Delivery: 2–4 business days
Worldwide
• Standard Delivery: 4–10 business days
• Express Delivery: 3–5 business days (available at an additional cost)
Please note: During peak periods, dispatch may be delayed by 1–2 business days. Orders placed after 12:00 PM (local time), on weekends, or public holidays will be processed the next business day.
For a smooth delivery, we recommend providing a daytime address where someone will be available to sign between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to PO boxes.
As the recipient you, the customer, are responsible for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to. Payment of such duties and taxes is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. Please note that we are unable to advise the amount this may be.
The shipping company will contact you once your items are in customs to let you know the cost. This may delay your delivery time, as goods held at customs will be your responsibility to pay the necessary charges for local authorities to release the goods. Please be aware that if you don’t choose to pay the import taxes we reserve the right to charge any additional costs incurred by ESSEN THE LABEL to you.
If a parcel is unclaimed, refused by the receiver, or unable to be delivered due to incorrect address details or other delivery issues, it may be abandoned by the local postal authority in the destination country.
In such cases, no refunds will be issued, in accordance with our terms and conditions. Should the parcel be returned to ESSEN, any return shipping fees or associated costs will be the responsibility of the customer and will be deducted from any eligible refund.

We produce in small batches or entirely on demand to minimise waste and prevent overproduction. If your size isn’t currently in stock, the product page will clearly display the estimated production lead time. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been dispatched.
If your cart contains both in-stock and pre-order items, we’ll ship your order once all items are ready — helping us reduce our carbon footprint. If you’d prefer to receive your in-stock items sooner, simply email us at info@essenthelabel.com after placing your order.

We've partnered with TR[1]BE, to ensure that all shipping & returns are carbon neutral.
A lot of complex math is taken into account to offset carbon emissions. Every time a parcel is shipped, we take into consideration things such as the weight, distance travelled, and cargo type when calculating shipping emissions. Together with TR[1]BE, we invest in energy efficiency, forestry, or renewable energy projects that offset the same amount of carbon emissions released into the atmosphere. We’ll continue to offset what we cannot eliminate, and we'll keep investing in other solutions to figure out what works best.
