Essenthelabel.com is a site operated by ESSEN THE LABEL PTY LTD ("We"). We are registered in Australia under company number 55 606 954 974 and have our registered office and main trading address at 75 Palmerston Crescent, South Melbourne VIC 3205, Australia.

ESSEN collects information about you when you actively submit information on www.essenthelabel.com, subscribe to the newsletter, place an order, participate in competitions, and/or participate in other activities on the Website. We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregated information for more targeted marketing campaigns. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. We may also collect information when you voluntarily purchase one of our products or provide feedback.

Whenever you use our website, or any other website, the computer on which the web pages are stored (the Web server) needs to know the network address of your computer so that it can send the requested web pages to your Internet browser. The unique network address of your computer is called its “IP address,” and is sent automatically each time you access any Internet site. By using our website, you (the visitor) agree to allow third parties to process your IP address, in order to determine your location for the purpose of currency conversion. We do this in order for the selected currency to remain selected and consistent when browsing our website so that the prices can convert to your (the visitor) local currency.

We do not keep a record of the IP addresses from which users access our site except where you have specifically provided us with information about yourself, in which case we also record your IP address for security purposes. An example of this would be when proceeding to a checkout to finalise an order you may wish to make. After completing the form provided, your IP address will be stored along with a transaction number that allows us to track your order.  

We collect your personal information in one (1) or more of the following cases:

• When you create a customer account on the Website
• When you take part in one of ESSEN's competitions

We do offer to ship orders with help of the returnable and reusable packaging service RePack (a brand of the Finnish company Plan B from Outer Space Ltd.). This service includes the delivery of the order in a reusable packaging (the Packaging) and the delivery of a reward for returning the Packaging to RePack. To deliver of the reward, ESSEN THE LABEL shares the customer’s email address with RePack. RePack provides a personalised web link directing at an online marketplace where the customer can select a personal shopping voucher or similar offering. RePack provides the delivery of the reward web link and of the shopping voucher as a processor on behalf of ESSEN THE LABEL PTY LTD. Legal basis for the reward communication is fulfilment of a contract as the reward is part of the services by ESSEN THE LABEL PTY LTD. RePack is obliged on data protection by a data processing agreement in accordance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

ESSEN maintains statistics about the usage of the Website, i.e., areas of the Website our users visit and what products are users’ favourites. These data do not contain personal information. The collected data gives us knowledge about how users use the Website and are also used to improve our Website. We cannot see which websites you've visited before going to the Website, or which websites you visit when you leave our site. We do not sell or in any other way disclose information about our users’ use and navigation of our Website and we neither sell nor distribute information about your purchases to a third party.

When you opt-in to receive ESSEN’s updates and provide your email and/or phone number, you are giving ESSEN your consent to collect and process your personal information, for the purposes of providing updates about our products, services, and events. When sending you ESSEN updates we will use the most applicable channel(s) available e.g. email, phone, or messaging services but we will only contact you on the channel(s) included in your consent. Only ESSEN will receive and be able to access your personal information.

You can opt out of receiving updates (which would signify withdrawing your consent if you have provided consent), at any time (see "Unsubscribe from ESSEN updates" below). 

If you are registered to receive ESSEN updates relating to our products, services, and events, and you no longer wish to receive these, you can request that we amend your preferences. You can do that either as indicated in the particular communication, e.g. by using the unsubscribe link which is included in all email and SMS updates, or by contacting our customer service (info@essenthelabel.com). ESSEN will stop sending updates in respect of which you opt-out (or withdraw your consent, where applicable) within a reasonable period (as required by applicable law) and in any event within 28 days of receiving your request, in order to allow sufficient time for the change to be administered.

If you opt out of receiving ESSEN updates relating to our products, services, and events, we may still send you non-marketing communications such as emails or applicable phone communications about your account or purchases you have made, and/or emails or applicable phone communications to request and respond to feedback relating to ESSEN. We will only use your contact information where permitted to do so in accordance with applicable laws.

You are entitled to gain insight into the information that we process about you (subject to certain statutory exclusions). You are also entitled to raise objections to the collection and further processing of your personal information. Furthermore, you are entitled to have your personal information corrected, deleted, or blocked, in accordance with relevant regulations.
