This is the most beautiful comfortable walking boot. I could walk through New York City in this. The sole is thick so you don’t feel the pavement. I live in LA now. I get Multiple compliments from people every time I wear it. Looks great with jeans. Everyone wants to know where it’s from. The pointed toe is so beautiful and yet there’s so much room in the toe box that I can wiggle my toes. So it feels roomy and comfortable. The leather is beautiful. At first I thought uh-oh the shaft of it had sort of crinkled leather and I thought maybe it had been tried on a lot of times. But the solicitous and delightful owner Marre’ assured me that this was because of the Italian leather used and part of the way it looks naturally. She was right. Now I don’t have to go out wearing tennis shoes everywhere, I can wear these beautiful elegant, so comfy boots and elevate my look instantly.

I had been looking for new classic, black boots for years, never able to find something fairly priced and with good quality. When I found these boots I was a bit unsure as I had never heard of the brand but after a couple of emails exchanged with Marre, I was convinced this was a brand I would love to support. The kindness and patience from the Essen team in helping me find the perfect size and figure out delivery logistics, was unmatchable. And the boots quality: out of this world. Love these so much! I usually fall between a 41 and 42 (women's). I found the 41 a bit too narrow and the 42 is perfect.
