Handcrafted from luxurious LWG-certified leather, the Sporty Slingback is set on a flexible fussbett sole for extra support and finished with a lightweight rubber sole for a secure and comfortable fit. My biggest decision was what colour and size to purchase! I am always nervous about purchasing from web sites when it comes to shoes.
First world problems I know but given the price point of these beautiful shoes I was determined to get it right!
I was also glad to find a distributor nearby - with whom I could try on the shoes - and I found they ran a little small for me and I was able to make an informed decision and ordered direct from the web site. Had the shop carried my size then I would have happily supported my local great taste fashion store. But LOVE LOVE these gorgeous sandals and hope to get years and year of wear from them

I bought these for a trip to Europe and they’ve been perfect with my summer dresses and walking moderate distances. The sole is flexible and offers enough support, and the straps don’t cut in (even when my feet have swollen in the heat). These are my first Essen shoes and I’d definitely purchase from this company due to their businesses ethos and customer care.

I am very impressed with the quality and design of these sandals. The moulded footbed ensures my wide foot stays on the sandal and does not overflow which I find can happen with this type of open style. They feel comfortable on but I think I will have a wearing in period around the toe post, which can be adjusted slightly by sliding the knot up or down. I contacted Essen for sizing advice as I am sometimes an AUS 10 and other times a AUS 10.5 and Marre was very helpful ensuring I selected the correct size first time. Looking forward to wearing these all summer.
