My silver Foundation Flats are gorgeous!! Buttery soft leather, beautifully made, beautifully designed, and comfortable! Everything I wanted! So chic! And since I am not a standard fit, they helped me take a true measurement of my foot and made a custom pair for me. I can't tell you how much I love this company. Plus, there is nothing more gratifying than supporting a small female owned business. Their commitment to quality, a smaller impact on the environment, and sincere devotion to their customers has made me a lifelong fan.

Fabulous shoe I need more in all the colours they are just so comfortable.

What was more impressive than the shoes was the service, old fashioned customer care that is so rare these days.

If you are unsure of your size message them first and seek advice, they were able to accommodate my oddly shaped feet with a half size and although I had to wait a couple of weeks it was more than worth it to have shoes that fit me better than any other ballet flats ever have.

Full disclosure, I have narrow feet and always find it difficult to buy shoes that actually fit. I saw the silver foundation flats multiple times on Instagram and saw it styled in so many ways (shoutout to Rose Li @thecreativeclassicist), that I really wanted to try them. I received the shoes which were buttery soft, beautifully made and designed. Truly everything I wanted, except they, sadly, were too wide. I emailed customer service and got an immediate response. In multiple emails, Marre helped me figure out how to take a true measurement of my foot and said that they would make me a custom pair. I followed her instructions, and discussed once again, the differences between half sizes in terms of length. I wanted to make sure this time, I got it right. And they did. The shoes arrived, and fit perfectly. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this company. It turned out that Marre is the founder of this amazing company and there is nothing I love more than supporting small female owned businesses, especially when they devote themselves to quality. I am a big fan of Tibi for this reason, and think Essen is on that path.The quality of the shoes and the quality of the care they give to their customers makes me a loyal fan.
